I say "we" because I fall into that as well! My fiance & I are going to join a 6 week boot camp next month & I keep having to remind myself why I'm doing it. Is it to look as good as [place name of ultra skinny celeb here]? Or am I using it as a way to jump start me getting healthy for my family?? I think Jessica Simpson gained 5 lbs and the media dogged her out. For what? She was still beautiful. And seeing as how the average size for a woman is 12, why should we all strive to be that rare 0? Yes, being super slim is rare and I guess maybe desired like a rare gem but what about those rarities that really count like honesty, humility, compassion, etc....I used to have a teacher with a great old time, let-me-tell-you-something, southern accent that used to always say, "You worried 'bout the wrong thang!" I found it sad though that women nationwide are plagued by the thought that certain things have to be done to our bodies in order to be considered beautiful. I am not against taking care of myself and wanting to look nice but I am not going to let the world determine those standards for me.
