Top 3 Picks to Inspire You

I asked the question last month “How will YOU float your Valentine’s boat?” and we got lots of creative responses, both on our blog page and also on my FaceBook page.  I wanted to highlight my top 3 favorites, as a way of reminding you to be spontaneous and create some sort of Valentine’s Day every month of the year!  :)

Lindsay’s idea gets points for being “green” (recyclable)…

Last year I made my husband a home-made gift of “coupons” redeemable only in our house. One was for a massage, one was for a hot bath together, one was for a fun night out, one was for a fun night in.. and then I laminated them so they could be re-usable! The neat thing about these is they’re 100% customizable and totally cost-effective!

And both of the following ideas come from Tracy, who gets major points for creativity!

Last year I went to his work place and filled his car with red and pink balloons. Each balloon had a paper inside of it with a compliment, sexy note or remember when(something seductive we did). I think it took about 50 balloons. On the outside of the car I put an envelope with a note and a pin in it. The note said “pop each balloon to find the many things I love about you. ” Of course it took some time but I think he loved it as other people from work were watching him work his way into the car.
And this one may challenge readers to step WAY outside their comfort zone, but again, points for creativity, Tracy!  I’ll bet your husband was absolutely blown away.

This year I had a business card made. I took on a new name and played the part of a professional lover. I created a new e-mail account which was on the card. The morning he went to work I left them every where. We then spent the whole day e-mailing through the new address(of course I went into GREAT detail of all the x-rated things I was going to do to him. We made a meeting date the following Monday at 3pm. I turned my basement into my apartment. I made a bed and brought 3 lamps down to put red bulbs in. I hung a white sheet up with a spot light behind to do a shadow striptease. After the striptease I came out in my new lingerie (RED, and something really different from what I usually wear) and proceeded to lap dance, pole dance etc. I carefully chose my seductive music and he loved it!!!! It was a ton of work to plan it all and think it through but I know he still carries the business cards around. Success!!!!
Now before you get your panties in a wad about this last idea, remember that it’s merely a suggestion to spark your creativity.  If you find a particular idea offensive, then don’t do it.  LIke I said in the book, becoming a sexually confident wife isn’t about becoming something that you aren’t.  It’s about becoming who you really are, and we’re all sexual beings with creative minds, so ENJOY coming up with your own sexy ideas to float your husband’s boat!

Wishing you much creativity in your marriage,

Shannon
