Promoting FREEDOM from Pornography

We’ve received several responses to the “Peeping Behind His Pornography Problem” blog that was posted several weeks ago, so I thought you’d enjoy this new video clip produced by Covenant Eyes…

Even though we need to be “internally motivated” to avoid pornography, it’s great to have filtering software such as Covenant Eyes to provide the “external motivation” we may need to starve enslaving addictions or prevent them from occuring in the first place.  Such accountability can restore a man (or woman’s) dignity, replentish a spouse’s trust, prevent teens and children from surfing sites that could get them hooked, etc.  I can’t recommend it enough!

Wishing you and your family FREEDOM,

Shannon

Wow thanks for sharing. I wonder what keeps the men who offer accountability strong. Isn’t this something men who have fallen into this sin always struggle with. I love the anonymus aspect which might help a person who is struggleing seek assistance. I wish and pray that more church leasders would speak out about this great travisty that destroys so many lives. It all gets swept under the rug which further reinfouces the shame and the guilt. So many fall through the cracks. If a pastor confessed such a thing could it cost him his job? How sad to consider that. But how much healing could be accomplished with honesty?

I have heard about this before but it really won’t help my situation. My husband would never agree to putting that on our computer- he says he has stopped porn, I just have a hard time believing it. We have not mentioned the porn in about 8 months and I don’t want to bring it up again now when I am trying to still get over what I found. IF I find it again I will mention this program- if anything it will help me trust again, but it would be artificial trust because he is monitored- not the same as stopping on his own. This is such a sad topic. I hate porn with a passion- the girls that are in it, the men that watch it, it is all very very sad.
